The A I R Showcase of Arts, Innovation and Research is presented by RISD Research (Rhode Island School of Design) in collaboration with Venture Café and Design x RI week. This interactive event includes displays by artists and designers who use interdisciplinary methods to explore regional and global issues. By mixing art and design with science and technology, they develop dynamic solutions and creative breakthroughs.
A I R will feature activations, installations, prototypes, video, and digital media. There will be flash talks by featured researchers and a panel discussion on the effects and possibilities of AI on Black, Brown, and Indigenous communities. Come out to experience the full dimension of research generated at RISD by faculty and students.
Along with displays, special activities will include: a tour of the RISD Co-Works Interdisciplinary Research Lab (limited slots); informal one-on-one sessions with members of RISD Research and Human Resources (limited slots); and participatory mural making for all. Be sure to pre-register soon if you would like to sign up for an activity with limited availability.
